The Things I learnt and taught in Student Summit 2021

Kia Ora, today was the Student Summit Day 2021. It took place in Hornby Primary School. There was a lot of people, and lots of different schools. We learnt a lot about digital stuff, that we didn't know example, how to animate in slides, and a website called Coggle.

Coggle is a website used for Mind mapping. It's used for DLO (Digital Learning Object), which is to show others about what you learnt. Coggle makes it so much easier and it's simple to use.

For the Animating in slides, we only got to the drawing part and we had to skip the animating because they ran out of time. But we still had a good time learning how to draw the human body. I was only able to draw the eyes part.

And for the Coggle we weren't able to save it. But we were Mind Mapping about, Fruits. For example: Tree Fruits, Stone Fruits, Citrus Fruits etc. Then we put information about those type of Fruits.

Now for the Teaching part. It was me and Manuk that was teaching others.

We taught people how to draw in Scratch. For example, We taught people how to draw a triangle and a square, We also taught people about why we need those type of Codes instead of other ones, or on what would happen if that Code wasn't added.

What is the Purpose of Blogging?

Hello everyone, Good morning / afternoon / evening my name is Mark. In this post I will showing you a quick comic strip to sum up why we blog our work.

We blog our work because we want to show people our work and what we've done. But sometimes, we show our work so that we can get feedback from others and so that our work could get better.

Or you can blog your work about something you learnt and teach others about it.

I found it hard to find out what the purpose of blogging is.

I found it easy to explain what the purpose of blogging is.

All About Me

 Kia Ora It's me Mark. Today I will be showing you all about me. Not all of it but some bits. Because you know I'm being Cybersmart, and not showing information that can get me in danger and such.

I found it hard to try and remember what the funniest memory I had.

I found it easy to tell things about myself.

Kawa of Care DLO

Kia Ora, My name is Mark and today we have been learning about the Kawa of Care for Cybersmart.

Kawa of Care shows about how we can protect ourselves on our chromebooks. It even shows how we can protect our chromebooks by preventing it to be damaged or broken in any way.

And we made a DLO to show what we learnt about it.

I found it hard to try and make it creative.

I found it easy to explain how to keep it safe

The Lorax Sequel Stop Motion

 Heylo it's me Mark and today I will show you what we did for Topic for the past 2 weeks.

For Topic we watched The Lorax in Netflix for educational purposes, and after we watched it we brainstormed. Then we were told to make our own sequel. We're allowed to use anything to add a new sequel on what you think happened after the movie.

I found it easy to use Stop Motion and move the props around.

I found it hard to make the characters and to make it simple and good at the same time.

Here it is, and I worked with Manuk and Tini.

Fake News

 For Cybersmart we are learning about media. But last week, we are learning about Fake News. We learnt about learning the difference between Fake News and Real News. We can tell if it's real or not. Also we learnt how to tell if the site is fake or not.

But in this activity we had to make our own Fake News. I tried to make it funny because it's fake news so it's not true and wont offend people.

I found it easy to make it fake since it's not true.

I found it hard to find good photos.

Camp Article

 For Cybersmart, we had to write an article about camp. Lots of stuff happened at camp, and we wrote about it. We also had to make our own ads to make it better.

I wrote about every single bunk rooms eating lollies, and how we didn't get told off for doing it. We had lots of fun at camp. We did a bunch of things, like play outside in the dark as a whole camp game.

I found it hard to find a good time during camp to write about.

I found it easy to make the ads.
