St. Vincent de Paul

Kia Ora everyone, I hope you had a great weekend during Lockdown. For R.E ( Religious Education) we have been learning about Saint Vincent de Paul. Here's a picture of the Saint Vincent de Paul Church in France.

Here's an interesting fact about Saint Vincent de Paul :

Saint Vincent De Paul was once captured by Pirates. While he was going home from the boat, Vincent was gonna sell some property he received in an inheritance from a wealthy patron. But while he was traveling he was captured by pirates and was brought to Tunnis in Northern Africa. He was then turned into a slave for 2 years. During his time as a slave he prayed God for help and was later freed.

 

 

The Golden Rule DLO

Heylo!! It's Mark. I haven't posted in my blog for a while, my bad, Anyways.

For R.E (Religious Education), we have been learning about the Golden Rule. Let me explain.

So the Golden Rule is basically in the bible it is shown in Luke 6:31 here's a link if you wanna go read it ----> https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%206%3A31&version=NIV 

It means that treat others the way you want to be treated. But when someone treats you bad, you don't do the same to them. Instead you forgive them. There's more about it in the DLO. 

I found it hard to use book creator because I don't use it that much really. 

I found it easy to explain the Golden Rule, and decorate the DLO.

After Jesus' Baptism Comic Strip

Hey Hey, It's me Mark.

For Religious Education, we have been learning about Jesus' Baptism. And we were given a task to make a comic strip about what happened after Jesus' Baptism.

We watched different videos about it and we also read stuff in the bible about it.

I made a short comic strip about it.

The Seven Sisters DLO

Hey Hey, It' s me Mark.

For Reading we have been learning about Pleiades, and we were given a lot of Pleiades from a lot of countries. And then we were told to make a DLO about it.

The Pleiades I made a DLO abour is the Greek Mythology, "The Seven Sisters".

My DLO will tell you more a lot about "The Seven Sisters".

Holy Spirit is Shepherd

Hey Hey, It's me Mork (Mark)

For our Religious educations we've been learning about gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. and we also read verses about how the Holy Spirit was described.

We were given a task to teach people about how a Holy Spirit was described and explain about it. I drew a shepherd and some sheep for it.

Knowledge DLO

Hey, Hey!!

For R.E (Religious Education) we were learning about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Some of the gifts and fruits are Patience, love, joy, peace, kindness, knowledge...
And some others.

We were sorted into buddies or by ourselves. I was in a group with Micah, and we got the gift which is knowledge.

The activity was we had to draw about knowledge and make a short and simple DLO.
Micah and I decided to do it on a Google Drawing. We traced some pictured about knowledge, and also we wrote stuff about them.

Virtues DLO

For our R.E / Religious Education. We had been learning and doing work about virtues. And after those we had to make a DLO so here it is.

I found it hard to try and explain to keep related, and to explain.

I found it easy to write it down and add some ideas to explain the virtue or word.

I worked hard on this but it's pretty short.

Virgin Mary's (Jesus's Mother) Life DLO

For Religious Education we had been talking about Mary's Life, and we were given some questions, and we had to make a DLO about it. We also needed a buddy to do so I did it with Greer.

A DLO is something you create, to write down what you know about the Topic.

I found it hard to answer some questions because its really hard to spot the answers on the verses.

I found it easy to write it down and also to make the DLO.  (My buddy did it)

Christmas Resolution to be a Disciple of Christ

For R.E (Religious Education) we had been talking about the past of Mary's Life (Jesus's Mother). And we had to write down on how to be a disciple of Christ and do what he does and what he tells you. So we had to make a Resolution about Christmas about it.

I found nothing hard really...

I found it easy to write it down and create it.

Here's what I made.

"I can follow Jesus’s footsteps and obeying God, and making a promise on Christmas about stuff that I should and not do. Helping others, listening and helping my family and others.

I can change and get better being good, and get better at helping. Showing Compassion, Excellence, Responsibility, and Respect. Doing what you’re supposed to do."
