My Worst Ouch!

 Kia Ora everyone. In this post, I will be telling you a story about the worst injury I've ever had. I don't really have any injuries that are as bad as this one, because I barely get injured.

I found it hard to explain how my finger got injured, because it was like complicated and stuff.

I found it easy to tell the story.

I can't really say any more information about the story, so just read it if you wanna know more.

What was I thinking? Playing a tiring sport a day before a tournament?

I had a really bad injury, that made me lose a tournament. Mine happened this year. I never really had

any injuries as bad as this. It happened in like Term 1 or 2. 

Me and my friends were playing basketball at school. It was when the Basketball Rams were coming

over to teach us about basketball and play it with us. We had a game that included teamwork.

But when It was my turn, it was a 3v3. I don’t really remember who I was with. We were winning, until

I was getting guarded by 2 people. I didn’t know who to pass to. I followed my instinct and passed it to

one of my teammates. But then someone else took and passed it back to me really fast, I didn’t see it

coming. So I tried to use my hand, but instead it slammed against my index finger. It was also standing

straight and firm. It then pushed my bone backwards into my joint. I then had to get benched off. I thought

it wasn’t really that bad.

After a few minutes, the session ended. It was nearly end of the day. We ran over to room 5, and took

our bags then walked off to the gate. When I normally jam your finger, it usually comes back to normal

after a few minutes. But I realised this jam was more serious than I thought. I told my friends what

happened. I tried to keep it a secret to my parents. Because they might get mad that I broke my

finger. They were gonna get mad because I had a taekwondo tournament the next day. Not really

but we had to go to Nelson the next day, and then the tournament is after that day.

When I got home, I waited for my parents to get home. I then told them what happened to my finger.

They didn’t know what to do. They thought it wasn’t serious.

Until the next day. We were getting ready to go to Nelson for the tournament. Before we went there,

my dad told me we had to go somewhere to get it healed and massaged. Since it was blood that was

stuck in my bone, it made it harder and painful to use my index finger. So when I had it healed, It felt

kinda better. It took a day to heal back to normal. But I still lost in the tournament. But having a broken

finger is worse. It still kinda feels weird till this day.

Anime isn't for kids

Kia Ora everyone, today during lockdown we were given the choice to write an article about any topic., issue, or a person. I chose a topic which is "Anime isn't for kids" because there are people in the world that thinks that anime is for kids even though it's not.

I found it hard to try and make it look like an article.

I found it easy to write the paragraphs.

Anime is not for kids

Anime is a very good thing to watch to be entertained and learn a lot more about the genre

of that certain anime you watch. You can even learn a lot about the japanese culture. A lot of

people think that anime is for kids because of the art style which makes it look like it’s cartoon.

I will prove to you that anime is not for kids.

Anime has different age restrictions some may have 7+ which is mostly just full of comedy, adventures,

and action and it’s kid friendly. Some may be 13+ which is for young teens and the genres can be much

more different, it can have swearing, blood, explicit scenes etc. So it means that each age restriction is

much more different, and to be honest I haven’t seen a single anime that is 7+ so probably 80% of all

animes are 13+ or over. Which finishes my 1st reason why anime is not for kids.

Anime creators give different anime characters different character designs. Some may have a different

tone, emotion, attitude, and character traits. For example, some characters can be mean to others, some

can be trying to kill people all the time, some have a deep voice, etc. But this means that the characters

all act different than each other, and they can do bad things that’s not for kids and stuff. There can

sometimes be swearing in some animes, which is not allowed for kids under 13.

If an anime is about fighting, action, adventure, martial arts and all the violent genres then they

obviously show blood and violence into the anime. If you think anime is for kids then you can watch

Blood C, Tokyo Ghoul, Demon Slayer, Highschool Dxd, and Jujutsu Kaisen. They will change your

perspective on anime. Anime has gore, blood, violence, or any other bad things you can think off.

“Anime is not just for kids. In fact, there are a lot of mature themes in anime you need to be an adult

to understand.” - Unknown. There are some jokes that aren’t for kid and only people with the mind of

an adult know. Anime teaches you the true value of Revenge, and revenge isn’t a good thing for kids

because it can cause a lot of trouble. Anime shows people getting drunk and doing drugs, which isn’t

kid-friendly. Anime characters go through real life problems like mental health issues, no home,

bullied, in war etc. 

People have debated for years that anime is for kids and that it isn’t but the truth is…

Anime isn’t for kids. It may look like it’s for kids but it actually isn’t.

Own Graphic Novel

 Kia Ora, My name is Mark from St. Bernadette's School. This post is about a Graphic Novel or Comic that I made myself.

For Writing, we were taught about comics, writing languages, speech writing, inferencing, and onomatopoeia. We were taught by our Interns, that had recently left last week. We learnt a lot about them and we learnt how to make a comic properly and efficiently from them.

I made a comic about a show that was recently on the internet, and I've used some characters from the show. It's called "Tokyo Fighters" and the rest of the information is on the comic.

I found it easy to draw, and imagine what my next scene would look like.

I found it hard to come up with a story line that would be interesting and would fit.

(Note: You start reading a comic from top left, going towards the right.  But if you're reading Japanese Comic / Manga, you read from top right to left. But this comic I made is a normal comic.)

Beast Forest Camp

For Writing we were given a task to make our own or write a story and make different paths in it. And we give a choice to the people answering it. Each choice has different stuff in it which means if you pick the other option it has a different story continuing in it.

I wrote about an anime I watch, yes I watch it. And it's called "My Hero Academia". You can search it up. Anyways and I wrote about when the main character (Deku) goes to camp with the class. And other unexpected stuff happens

An Icy Plunge

For Writing at home we had been Answering questions from story prompts.

And today I read about a pup who was trying to go down to the ocean like the mother can. But it was only a few days old and wasn't brave enough until he got close to the edge...

Ms. Wilton gave us some questions to answer. She also told us to draw what would be in the ocean and I'm working on it.

I found it hard to try and predict what will happen next.

I found it easy to draw.

ANZAC Violin Writing

For Writing, Ms. Wilton rad us a book called "ANZAC Violin".

It's about a guy called Alexander Aitken. He's from New Zealand and fought World War I in Gallipoli. He has went through a lot of fights, problems, and loss in war. But he always used a violin to calm him and everyone, and everyone like him playing it. So they decided to always keep it safe. Even it's not allowed they hid it so that Alex can keep on playing it for them.

Anyways, that's a quick skim through the book.

So we had to make a chart of different descriptive stuff. We had to write down words or a sentence from his perspective / Point of view.

After that, we had to write down a diary from his perspective using the words we wrote.

I found it hard to try and make up some stuff using his own point of view.

I found it easy to come up with words that would describe the location and the sight for him.

Here's the writing work that I did.

Alexander Aitken

“I hear people screaming in pain. It looks really painful. Bones cracking in the distance, while the
doctors get their bones in place. Everyone looks tired and hurt. The beds are stiff and uncomfortable,
and it’s very dirty. It also smells like blood all around here. Shouting. Screaming. Arguing. Panicking.
It’s all that’s going on right now. I hear loud footsteps getting lower and lower, and louder and louder.
Maybe it’s doctors going back and forth. It’s so hot in here, and it’s so dirty. So many muddy
footsteps and blood on the floor. I can barely hear anything anyone is saying. It’s so loud, and
smells really bad in here. I’m really tired, I might need to take a nap. I can still hear screaming
from a room over there. I really feel bad for everyone. People are sacrificing their lives for
their country. Everyone must be brave for doing that. More and more people are being brought in,
as I’m writing. Other comrades are panicking and arguing about their wounds. They look really
scared. I’m sweating a lot. This bed is so annoying. The wood is poking through the bed, It kinda hurts.

I should start playing my violin. Maybe that could calm people down, and make them less noisy.” 

Show more Respect in Room 5

For Writing, we had been talking about Biteable. And we had to write about when Mr. Norman, needs to talk to us because of fights and other silliness. So we had to create anything about it, Acrostic Poem, Cinquain and others.

I found it hard to try and figure out how to remove the other none relevant videos that's comes with the video, and I still don't know how to remove it.

I found it easy to write down the Actostic Poem.

Free Writing!!! Hooray!!!

For Writing, we were allowed to do Free Writing!! Free Writing is fun. You can use any different types of writing, and your own Topics, and characters.

But... I decided to do a different writing. I decided to do different sorts of them in one Google Doc, I made an Acrostic Poem, Cinquain Poem, Recount, and Persuasive Writing.

I found it hard to do the Cinquain Poem because you need to find words that describes the Topic, and I don't know that much about Christmas.

I found it easy to write down the Recount because It's something that happened.

Christmas is awesome, and fun with you family. 
Hovering around the snow, but sadly it’s summer here.
Rushing early in the morning, to open presents. 
In my country we do caroling and knock on people’s doors. 
So that means we ask our neighbours for money. 
The people that also carols we give them money. 
Mass is the first thing we go to so that we could celebrate. 
A Holiday season with your family is fun and exciting.

 IN THE WEEKENDS!! 

In the weekends, me and my dad went to an activity about Father and Son. I’m gonna tell you it was pretty fun, and some of it wasn’t pretty fun. Like telling everyone what’s the most embarrassing thing that happened to you, And some other embarrassing stuff.

What I liked about it is when we always do funny stuff, like hiding bodies in the cabinets (Our friends, and us are the ones inside the cabinet), Screaming really loud, Banging our heads on the tables, drawing each other funnily, and other sorts of fun stuff.

But the most embarrassing thing there was, you and your dad have to show your talents. So what we did was… Dance. I mean like, it wasn’t that bad at all. The maximum minutes of the talent was 2 minutes, we did the 223 dance, I got muscles like superman, omae wa mou shindeiru, and one that I don’t want to tell you (Because it’s cringy).

We also had activities, which was fun. We sons, have to draw our dad’s faces and describe them in front of everyone else. While the dads, have to draw the son’s faces and describe them in front of everyone else (Everyone had a turn, not rushing or like being the 1st over at the front).

We pass the marshmallows to our Dads, and to us. If we don’t catch it we lose and have to sit down, we also were the first to lose.

2nd to the last, we had to throw or bounce the ping pong ball inside the cup with water on it (So that it wouldn’t fall and to make the ball bounce out again). It was a bit hard, but my techniques came in handy.

Last but not least, we have the questioning your son and your dad. It was the worst activities. You have to tell them your private information like… “What was your most embarrassing moment in school?” “What’s your favourite food?” (Don’t mind that one) “Do you love your dad?” No, “Why do you like your family?” Because I do.

We also went on the playgrounds which was fun.

Alright that’s my weekends I hope you enjoyed it.

Mrs. Lee deserves to stay in St. Bernadette’s School for Christmas.

Because some students cried because Mrs. Lee is now leaving, some were sad, questionable, and other sad emotions. It doesn’t matter if she isn’t Catholic, but we could make her Catholic. If she has more years in St. Bernadette’s School, she would become Catholic because she has learn’t stuff about being a Catholic, about Jesus, and other Catholic stuff.

Or maybe we should just have Ms./ Mrs./ Mr. Lanbi/ Lanby/ Lamby, to teach us with Mrs. Lee. So that they could only work for 2 ½ days, and it would be equal so that they could rest. And not deal with us every week.

(Not) The True Story of Hansel & Gretel

So... last Friday after morning tea, we used a bus as a transport so that we could watch the Hansel & Gretel ballet. I mean, It was really fun we got to watch one of the best ballet people in New Zealand. But... we only got to watch the 2nd half not the 1st half and 2nd half.

One thing though, the ballet ticket is supposed to be $50/ more for one person. The price goes higher depends on where you sit. But... we watched it for free, we were sitting inside and watching for free. We only had to pay $2 each person for the bus, even the bus fee lowered down.

So After Ballet, we went back and done.
At Monday for Writing, we had to try and make our own type of Hansel & Gretel. And we can make it as funny as we can, scary, interesting, or whatever.

I found it hard to add my own characters, and it took me a really long time to come up with what topic I should do.

I found it easy to recreate some parts.

Descriptive Writing Prompts.

For Writing we had been doing a lot of things, one of it is Descriptive Writing Prompts, it's when you get a picture in a slideshow and you use writing stuff to describe it. Like Alliteration, Metaphor, etc.
It might not be finished but I'm trying to.

I found it hard to make 4 sentences on each picture.
I found it easy to come up with an Onomatopoeia.

Where are my ballet shoes? Picture Book (Finished)

For Writing we had been doing Collaborative writing for weeks, and we still managed to finish it. I went and drawed the giant and made it simple, because It's a children's book. Some of them are images, but 1 of the backgrounds is an image. We fixed all our mistakes before and I hope you enjoy it.

If it's not good enough, please just enjoy it we tried our best.

Where are my Ballet Shoes?

For Writing WALT (We are learning to) get split up into groups, and do Collaborative Writing. Mrs. Lee had given us our Character, Setting, and Problem. We needed to make a short/ long story using those random Character, Setting, and Problem.

We found it hard to try to make up our own story, because I'm that much of a story maker.
We found it easy to make up funny stuff for our story, just to make people laugh on some parts.

My Favourite Season

For Writing WALT write about our favourite season, and we needed to explain why. Most people chose Spring, but just wait for what my favourite season is.

I found it  hard to make paragraphs with a different time, person, topic, or place/ TiPToP because sometimes my thinking is just stuck in one type of writing.

I found it easy to write down and make the Summer Drawing I did in the end.

Did you know that Summer has the warm and dry temperature out of all seasons?

Most people like Spring because of the flowers, But me I like Summer a lot.

My favourite season out of all seasons, is Summer. Summer is my favourite
season because it’s warm and it’s not that cold or hot, but just a normal weather. 

Sometimes it will rain but it won’t stop you from doing things, you can go outside
to play in the rain. Another reason is that you can go swimming at the beach or
in the pool. You can relax under the sun, sunbathe, and even play sports.
Such as Volleyball, Tennis, and other sports.

In Winter it will be cold and you might not be able to handle the cold.
In Spring it can be hot or cold.
In Autumn the temperature goes high and up randomly.

Don’t you just like it when there’s only one type of weather and temperature,
because you might need to change every time the temperature changes and
it will be really annoying. Won’t it? I know that Winter is always cold and it
never changes its weather, but it will be too cold while at Summer it’s just
a normal temperature. Half hot and half cold, which equals normal / warm.

I like Summer, because you can play with your friends outside and you won’t
be bothered wearing a lot of clothing just because it’s cold. Plus you get more
time to play sports outside, or even do some physical activities rather than use
devices. 

Summer is the best season for swimming, it doesn’t matter if you don’t like
swimming sooner you won’t regret it.

These are the reasons why I like Summer.

The Cave Llama

For Writing we had to make a story about the Llama we had made using Pencil, Dye, Pastel, and Paintings.
I found really difficult to make the Story interesting and to shade the Llama.
I found easy doing is on doing the Rest.
I really loved what we had done and what we had accomplished and my goal was to finish my Llama and The Story. The Title of the Story is Cave Llama, and Mowgli is also in it.

October 13, 2008 A boy who was a Legend of the Jungle, was born in the middle of Forests in the
jungle. 3 years later, 6 terrorists came to raid their house For what the father had done to all
of the people on their cities. The Boy’s Parents were tortured and were suffering, So the Mother
threw the Baby to the Jungle and said their last words “Hasseaoa Hasso”....

The Beginning

March 26, 2012. “Mom, Dad!!!!, Hurry up we're gonna be late!!”, “Hold on Hon I just gotta prepare
your Food ok?” “Fine…”. There was me I’m Mark always late at school and likes playing
soccer, I really liked playing with my friends, especially also on games. “Mark,  Nice Win you got
there mate.” they chuckled, “ Shoosh Tini” i said embarrassingly. “It was just a lucky one, Mkay?”
Said to myself, “Lies” they said and Bursts to laughing. They’re my friends They are Tini, Manuk,
Petelo , Max. Talking much about stuff wasn’t all we did, We also played soccer doing some Goal
Kicks or some Soccer stuff.

The Call

In a Medium Size House was where we live. “Don’t forget to check the Mailbox, Son!!” shouted
Dad from all the way in his car, “I will” I replied back. I sighed as I laid down on our bed.
“Wait ..., I forgot the mailbox”I said as I Sit up, I ran outside and checked the Mailbox
“A Book Hmmm ..., that’s gonna be interesting”. I went inside “The Legend of the Jungle” it wrote
on the Book what’s that I looked at the sign and it said “Don’t Open” I called my friends on
Discord (Which was an app to call your Friends or Online Friends). “What is it Going on there?”
said Manuk, I explained what I got from the Mailbox and they said “I got that one too”,
“Should we open it or nah” said Max in a Strange Voice. “I think we should” I said with a wink.

Cave Llama

The Book had lights in it and it shone on our face, Then after that we didn’t remember what had
happened. “Huh … W - What?” I said with a tired face, My eyes were all blurry and when it
had gone and Then I saw a lion standing on my chest. “AHHH!!!, Get off me!!” I shouted with
a loud voice while i was voice cracking, There I saw a Lion,Tiger, Monkey, and an Emu.
“Don’t worry, it's just us,” said the Lion “W-What is going on?” I said “Ok explain ourselves” said
an Emu,  “Me the Lion It’s Petelo” “Me umm … I’m the Monkey and it’s Manuk “ ''And I’m Max
and I don’t know Why I’m an Emu” “And it’s Tini the Tiger” . “Ok Guys Where’s the Book?”
I said with a worried voice, “It made us Turn into Animals and we have to do something to
Go to the Same Time and same Year, and …” ''Same Place” Interrupted Tini. “Wait so I’m a?” I
said in a worried voice “ Your a Llama” Said everyone.

Legend of The Jungle

“What do you mean? I'm a Llama!?” I said on a very nervous voice “Yes, We already told you”
said Manuk. “Whatever we got to do we need to do it quick” said Tini, “But were in a Jungle
or Forest, whatever …” said Max in a kind of High pitch voice.“CHEEEEHOOOOOOO!!!!”
shouted someone. We were scared of what we had heard “Was that Tarzan?” I said “I don’t know
it could be someone” said Petelo “But, Who would live in a blemen Jungle!!!” said Max
“People can, everyone’s allowed to live here if they have permission to.” said Manuk with an
embarrassing voice. “WHIP!, WHIP!, WHIP!, WHIP!, WHIP!.” we fell down like we lost our soul.

Mowgli

I could hear Someone chewing on food and sipping on water. It’s like we got kidnapped.
“W-What happened again?” I said on a very raspy voice “We had been kidnapped” said Manuk,
“Morning Guys” said an Unknown voice. “It’s Mowgli” said Max  “Can be” said Tini with a chuckle,
“Don’t Worry it’s fine I’m friendly, I’m Mowgli by the way” “Is he talking to us or …?” I asked My
Friends “I am talking to you” said Mowgli “I told y'all it’s Mowgli” said Max with a grin.“Guys help
me run away from these people, They had been Chasing me for 3 months” Mowgli told us.
“They might be in here!!” shouted an unknown voice but we were sure they were talking about our
Tent. “Quick Go On top of my back Hold on tight!!” I said with a very quick talk, “Manuk, Tini,
Petelo, Max meet us in the Jungle somewhere …” I told my friends “Sure” said everyone.

The Plan

As we ready up our positions we made a plan. As soon as they open the
Tent we rush outside and go as fast as we could, to the Jungle to keep Mowgli safe.
While the others Petelo and Tini (Which is the Lion and Tiger) they will bulldoze the people
to have a safe way for Manuk and Max (Which is the Monkey and Emu), they could get the
Terrorists lost in the middle of nowhere ,and dash all the way to our safezone and the safezone is
in the middle of the Jungle. It will be Tricky and also dangerous because it will be painful if we
get hurt.

The Escape

“3, 2, 1 Open!!” Petelo and Tini bulldozed over the Terrorists so they would get knocked off ,the
way and Me and Mowgli are Run as fast as we could and my job is to keep him safe. Manuk and
Max’s turn. The people were knocked off our way Petelo and Tini followed Me and Mowgli, Manuk
and Max went around the Camp on where the Terrorists lives, and after they had done it twice
they would dash through the jungle and to the safezone. Furthermore Everyone had done it very
Safe, no one was hurt and It was really fun. Everyone laughed.

The Safezone

We Hunted for food so that we wouldn’t be that hungry. It was Night darkness flowing through the
sky, We slept with a very good dream. Everyone Woke up we needed something to eat, so we
ate the leftovers we had got last night. But we realized we were not … in safezone. We were
Surrounded by the Terrorists, We couldn’t escape but run I told Mowgli to go on my back. We
ran as fast as we can, We reached a Desert and a Road there were cities across the road we
needed to get there as far as we could, and it was gonna be The Real Safezone.

The Sacrifice

As we were running for our Lives. Gunshots were fired on us but missed, we flinched and got slower. “Keep Going Guys!!” I shouted at my friends, I went close to Petelo and Passed Mowgli to him. “What are you doing?” asked Petelo while running “Take him to safety.” When we reached the Road, I let my friends pass first. And it was my turn. As I was running I told them “Keep Going!!” but they did What I said. Tini, Manuk, Max, and Petelo looked behind as they were running, I went on the Road and Faced the Edge of it, I didn’t have any choice but to Sacrifice so that we could bring Mowgli to safety. Gunshots were Fired and I felt the pain … 

The End

As I was laying down everything disappeared, I was back on my normal life. “Huh, What
happened?, Did I die?” I looked around. I was in my bedroom I rested and slept. The Next day
was Thursday. I ate, showered and went to school. I asked my friends if they had become the
animals they were and the same thing that had happened, and they said “Yes” “Yes” “Yes” “Yes”
said my Manuk, Tini, Petelo, and Max. Then we played and learned stuff at school. The End.

My Writing from the past weeks (Bye Mr. Lee)

In Term 2 Week 3 Friday We came to school very early it was "Pink Shirt Day"  We at least needed to wear something that's pink so it can be a sign of stop Bullying, We also had Winter Sports in the afternoon which was fun. We All Brought Something Pink that's a clothing and also pink that's foods, We took a picture of it before we even eat it and we also put Face Paint on ourselves. Furthermore We have finished our Amazing Sugar Rush Day, Everyone had lots of fun during that day it was one of the best days ever. Everyone took a rest in the weekends.

Term 2 Week 4 Monday The Start of Week 4. We were waiting outside the School waiting for the gate to open (it normally opens at 8:30 a.m.). Oof the Gate Opened we ran to our classrooms in excitement just for the heater, One thing we forgot was....
WE HAD OUR STUDENT TEACHER!!!, We had Mr. Lee as our Student Teacher (Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee are not related, it's just Lee is very common in Korea that's what Mrs. Lee said.).
We had enjoyed His time on St. Bernadette's School we had did some writing with him which is this.

"Sleeping is very important to everyone. It helps us Learn more and have more energy while doing something. Also when we sleep we won’t be tired anymore because It gave us more energy and more time to Rest. For example, You forgot to sleep because you were doing work in the middle of the night, and you came back to school tired and then you fell asleep and missed out on some learning. Another Example is that when you Sleep You Can do anything quick and better because of the energy you got for having a rest at the right time and woke up in the right time. So If you sleep you can do more stuff and even help others if they can’t do something. So If I were you I could always slept everyday or even more that once a day that's the way you need to sleep as always.

Sleeping very important to every species or human beings. It helps us be Strong and be more Smart just like me. Sleeping gives me a good time to rest and it also helps me do stuff that others can’t do or can. For Example If you are doing Maths The teacher asked you a question and you didn’t sleep that night then you won’t be strong and smart enough to answer the question and you might fall asleep during that time. Another Example is if you have a good time to Rest It makes you to do the Best, you might get something for being the Best or for doing something that was really hard to do but you did it. Don’t forget to sleep so you can do as many things as you want. So Sleep if you wanna Do stuff that people can’t or can do."

This was my favourite we had done with Mr. Lee. We also did some Helicopter Experiments, we made the little flying thing that's attached to the Helicopter and we used some clips to make it land faster. He is one of my Most Favourite Teacher Ever, He even let us play soccer with him.

Term 2 Week 9 Friday The Last Day of the Week. We came to school Happily. But Mr. Lee had to go apply a job, Everyone was feeling sad including me. We made cards for Mr. Lee secretly so that we could give it to him during that day, One of us Cried. It was really hard on not releasing your feelings for Mr. Lee we gave him the Cards. After the Day has ended Most of the Teachers would wait on the gate for everyone's parents to pick them up until they go back home or inside, My Dad Came. And I gave my One Last Look, Listen, Talk, Wave at Mr. Lee.
